Welcome to Our Elementary School
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Natalie Harvey. I have been the PK-2 School Counselor at NES for the past 4 years. I have loved it so much, however, I am taking this year off to care for my children. I am so sad to not be working with the students of NES this year, but I am leaving you all in good hands. Classroom Lessons:Throughout the year, I will be working with students and teaching whole class lessons. Lessons will focus on teaching positive school behaviors in order for students to be the best student they can be inside and outside of school. Lessons will include, but not limited to Second Step Curriculum and Yoga4Classroom education.
Group Lessons: Group lessons are lessons taught with a small group of students, oftentimes during lunch. Much like the classroom lessons, small groups allow students to work together on continuing to be the star students that they are!
Individual Counseling: When a student needs one-on-one support, a student has the opportunity to talk with me individually. During that time, the student and I work on building a strong relationship first. Once that foundation is built, we can work on skills to help them be successful today, tomorrow, and in their future.
